Annonomys wanted to DDoS psn so it would lag thats it... they even talked to a news station about it...
the real reason is becuase there was a custom firmware that allowed reg ps3s to go into dev mode so when the "Developer ps3s" (reg people) went on the playstation store; we could get anything for free... i know this because i did it =P

anomonys claims they will continue till Sony is shut down, because they are money hungry bastards, they want everyone to return all ps3's to stores and stop playing them completely, and start boycotting ps3's, They were not looking to shut down PSN to wreck the players gameplay they are only looking to get Sonys Attention. Sony requested to get everyones Ip from ANYONE who ever visited Geohost, a service used to hide a ip address etc, they are also sueing the person who taught people to jailbreak, Anomonys will be taken to court as fbi has search warrants on Anomonys leader,

Anomonys claims that the goal that they wanted was to make it so playstation store makes everything Free DLC packs etc, as for they claim sony is money hungry, i think they should be targeting Xbox 360's etc, they have to pay for live etc,

Overall, i do beleive that sony will be taken down over time, i have looked at peoples overview on psn being shut down, and many people are claiming that they quit psn + there ps3's and now they are into xbox 360's if anomonys is caught the leader and anyone helping them take down sony will suffer a minimum of 10 years in prison, they may also receive 15-20+ years for takeing psn credit card information, personal information etc as sony claims.

They need to catch Anomonys and make them suffer years in prison.
